Integrated Airflow Duct
Tool-less Rails for Fast and Easy Installation
The Mac Pro Shelf can be installed in less than 5 minutes, no tools required. Each rail securely engages the square mounting holes on each side of the rack which then allow shelf to just slide into place.
The Mac Pro Rack Shelf is designed for server clusters, virtual systems, and render farms using 2nd Generation Apple Mac Pros. The 1U shelf allows you to rack-mount up to 6 Mac Pros, occupying only 6U of rack space. Snap-in rail kits make installation a snap with no tools required. The shelf's open design allows easy access to all of the Mac Pro's peripheral ports and sliding rails make equipment maintenance easy. Acrylic cut-outs allow each Mac Pro to fit perfectly in the shelf and can be covered when not in use, giving the shelf not only a clean look but also ensuring proper ventilation, even when it is not fully occupied. The shelf includes adhesive-backed cable tie-down clips, for clean and easy cable management.
The Mac Pro server rack shelf has a passive ventilation system designed to isolate hot and cold aisles in large deployments. The ventilation system takes in cold air through the front of the shelf's air intake and moves the air to a lower chamber where each Mac Pro's air intake resides. Then, the Mac Pro's own cooling system then passes the hot air to the back of the shelf where is then ventilated out.
